Gain hands-on experience building and maintaining web applications in a real product environment—Python/Django, APIs, tests, and collaboration with engineers on features used in regulated industries.
Key responsibilities
- Implement small features and fixes under mentorship: Django views, templates or APIs, forms, and migrations as directed.
- Write and extend automated tests (unit/integration); participate in code reviews and learn team standards.
- Help investigate bugs and reproduce issues; document findings and proposed fixes.
- Pair with engineers on tickets; use Git branching, PRs, and CI checks in day-to-day workflow.
- Attend standups and planning; communicate progress, blockers, and learning goals clearly in a remote setting.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework or projects in Python and web development (any framework); willingness to lean into Django.
- Comfortable using Git and working from the command line or IDE at a beginner-to-intermediate level.
- Eligible to work in your jurisdiction for the duration of the internship; reliable internet for remote collaboration.
- Strong written communication for async remote work; overlap with US Central business hours preferred.
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to Django, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, or HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
- Interest in compliance, audit trails, or enterprise SaaS product delivery.
- Contributions to coursework projects, hackathons, or open source.
