CloudOps Engineer

Own our cloud foundations and delivery pipelines for regulated customer workloads—reliability, observability, and cost-aware operations at the center.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and release automation for Django and supporting services.
  • Manage cloud environments (e.g., AWS): networking, IAM, secrets, backups, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident runbooks; participate in on-call rotation as needed.
  • Partner with security and engineering on hardening, DR drills, and audit-friendly change documentation.
  • Optimize performance and spend; recommend and execute pragmatic improvements without compromising compliance posture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or CloudOps roles with production ownership of Linux-based stacks.
  • Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
  • Hands-on scripting (Python or Bash) and experience with containers and orchestration concepts.
  • Solid understanding of networking, TLS, secrets management, and least-privilege access patterns.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with distributed teams and customer-facing constraints.

Nice to have

  • Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or food safety adjacent environments).
  • Familiarity with Django, PostgreSQL, and managed data services.
  • Prior work with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or customer security questionnaires.
